Netflix premiered a rather unique comedy show which celebrated the comedians in our country. Comedy Premium League gave a platform to some popular comedians to compete against each other in groups of four. It is rare to see an exciting bunch of talented people coming together to compete on merit and try to put their best show possible. In an exclusive chat, Aakash Gupta, a Youtube sensation, spoke about the way their talent is now being recognized along with Amit Tandon and Urooj.
Amit Tandon, who joined the leagues of comedy pretty late in his life, opened up on how the comedy sphere is changing. “When a show like this is produced and mounted on this huge scale, it certainly puts us in the same place as a TV show or a film, so it definitely helps with the perception,” Amit said.
Aakash, who rose to fame with his sketch on Sarojini Nagar, agreed with Amit and added how when he heard about CPL, he dived right into it knowing that it is a huge opportunity to broaden his horizon. Urooj shared the same views and said that she is pretty excited to see all of these talents come together and the synergy is inexplicable.
