On February 24, the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival officials accused ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant Mahira Sharma of forging an award certificate. Mahira claimed receiving the ‘Most Fashionable Contestant of Bigg Boss 13’ title and she shared the certificate on her Instagram story. The officials released a statement and demanded an apology from Mahira. Later, she posted a lengthy statement where she wrote, “Charges made against me for receiving and forging the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival 2020 is untrue and totally uncalled for. In my defense, I would like to clarify with exact details on what went that day.”
Mahira also added that she was approached by Premal Mehta from the Purple Fox Media, who invited her and handed over the certificate to her manager. But the officials of DPIFF are not ready to accept this. They have yet again posted a long note and asked Mahira to apologise.
In the note, they wrote, “To address Ms. Mahira Sharma’s latest response on the forged DPIFF certification, it is really unappreciated that she still claims that the award has not been forged and is unapologetic about the same. We believe that, being the official authority of DPIFF award function, we are in charge of confirming the authenticity of our awards and certificates well. This, however, is unfortunately still unclear to Ms. Mahira Sharma.”
They also wrote that Mahira has ‘clearly attempted to deflect from the problem caused by her and pushed the blame on a 3rd party’.

Let’s wait what Mahira has to say on this.
