Delhi government takes note of Deepika Singh’s viral plea; her Covid-19 positive mother finally gets admitted

‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ actress Deepika Singh’s mother, who resides in Delhi, has tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus. Deepika had taken to her social media handles to request Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to help her mother get admitted to a hospital.

Looks like the Delhi government has taken note of the actress’ plea as her mother has been finally admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Deepika thanked the authorities for their immediate response.

Deepika’s parents reside in Delhi and the hospital that tested her mother had refused to hand over the report due to which she couldn’t get admitted to any hospital. As a last resort, the actress sought CM’s help and finally, her plea was heard.

Expressing her gratitude to the concerned authorities, Deepika posted, “Thank you to Delhi Govt & health minister for the immediate response to my tweet & video. Finally my mother got admission in Sir Gangaram hospital. Hoping for her speedy recovery. @msisodia @ArvindKejriwal @Abhishek_asitis @drharshvardhan #Atirekbharadwaj (sic).”

Deepika resides in Mumbai with her husband Rohit Raj Goyal. She has a 3-year-old son and due to which she couldn’t fly back to Delhi to take care of her mother. After trying every possible way to get her mother admitted to a hospital, the actress finally took to the social media and brought her problem to the concerned authorities’ notice.
