As India immerses itself in the vibrant festivities of Ganpati and Durga Puja, actress Delnaaz Irani reflects on the significance of Dussehra and its portrayal in films. Sharing her thoughts on the celebration of good over evil, she highlights the messages that resonate with her both personally and culturally.

For Delnaaz, the movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan stands out in beautifully showcasing the spirit of Dussehra. The film captures the joy and togetherness that the festival represents. One moment that touched her heart is when the main character came together with others to help a little girl. This act reflects the strength and kindness embodied by Goddess Durga, who symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. Delnaaz explains, “The movie teaches us about love, helping others, and standing up for what is right. Personally, I connect with this message because I believe in the power of compassion and support for one another.”

Delnaaz Irani on celebrating Dusshera

Reflecting on her childhood, Delnaaz fondly recalls how special Dussehra was for her family. She loved wearing new clothes and attending the Ravan Dahan with her loved ones. The excitement of fireworks, the delicious food, and the stories of Lord Ram defeating Ravan made the festival unforgettable. “When I was a child, Dussehra was always full of fun! It was a time of happiness and togetherness,” she shares with a smile.

In her heartfelt reflections, Delnaaz also addresses a significant issue she wishes to see eradicated: bullying. She believes that Negativity harms individuals and creates a negative environment. “We need to create a world where everyone is kind and accepts each other. Helping each other can make a big difference in people’s lives,” she emphasizes.

As the festivities of Dussehra unfold, Delnaaz Irani reminds us of the importance of compassion, kindness, and the celebration of good in our lives. Her insights inspire us to embrace the true spirit of the festival and work together to build a more understanding and accepting society.

Amandeep Sidhu shares the significance of Dusshera

This Dussehra, even while shooting (Badall Pe Paon hai), I feel the spirit of victory all around. Just like Lord Ram defeated Ravana, may we defeat all challenges in life. Let’s celebrate the triumph of good over evil and keep moving forward with courage. Dussehra teaches us that no matter how tough things get, good will always win in the end. While I’m busy on set, I carry this thought with me. Let’s all celebrate this festival with strength and positivity, overcoming every obstacle in our path.
