‘Bigg Boss 13’ fame Mahira Sharma who was invited to be a part of the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards, 2020, shared in her Instagram story on Feb 20 the certificate of appreciation she had received for being ‘The Most Fashionable Contestant Of Bigg Boss 13’. Later, the DPIFF officials issued an official statement on their Instagram handle and called it a forged award and condemned Mahira’s ‘immoral and distasteful attempt to gain publicity’.
We spoke to Devoleena Bhattacharjee about this, to which she said, “It’s definitely wrong and I don’t understand the need for it. The ultimate happiness is when you earn it not just claiming it and I myself feel proud that I have earned it a few years back.”
For the uninitiated, Devoleena won the Dadasaheb Phalke Film award in 2016 for her role of Gopi in ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’.
