Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav was arrested in the snake venom-rave party case and remanded to 14-day judicial custody on Sunday. In a video doing rounds, he was seen with police officers. The YouTuber who initially denied any involvement in the case, has now admitted that he arranged snake venom at rave parties.
Elvish Yadav admits arranging snake venom at rave party
A police source told NDTV that Elvish ‘admitted to arranging snakes and snake venom’ at rave parties he has organised in the past. The insider added that the YouTuber also ‘admitted that he had met the accused at different rave parties and was in contact with them.’ Following the confession, Elvish now faces charges under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. The law under Section 29 deals with buying and selling of drugs.
When Elvish denied the claims
On 3rd November, when the news came to light, Elvish had released a video telling media to stop publishing fake reports. Sharing a video, Elvish Yadav stated, “Mai subah utha aur dekha kaisi news fail rahi hai mere khilaf. All over media me ye news fail rahi hai ki Elvish Yadav arrest hogaye, wo nashile padartho ke saath pakde gaye. Ye saari cheeze jo fail rahi hai, jitne bhi aarop mere pe lage hai, wo saare bebuniyaad hai, sare fake hai ek percent bhi inme sachai nahi hai (Since morning I am seeing reports about my arrest and usage of drugs at party. All I want to say is these reports are completely fake and untrue).”
About Elvish Yadav case
The YouTuber was booked by Noida Police on 3rd November in connection with a rave party. Elvish Yadav was accused of allegedly using “snake venom” at the rave party. At least five people have been arrested in connection with the case. According to the police, they recovered nine snakes during the raid. After that a case was lodged under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 and for criminal conspiracy under section 120B of the Indian Penal Code.
