Divya Bhatnagar’s husband Gagan breaks his silence on mother-in-law’s allegations of being a fraud- watch

A few days back we had come across reports of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ actress Divya Bhatnagar being critical after she contracted the deadly Covid-19 virus. According to Etimes report, the actress was put on a ventilator when her condition deteriorated. The actress’ mother had then accused her husband Gagan of being a fraud and ditching her during such testing times.

Gagan has finally reacted to his mother-in-law’s allegations. He shared a video message on his Instagram handle in which he addressed all the allegations levelled on him by Divya’s mother.

Previously, calling Divya’s husband Gagan a fraud, her mother had told Etimes, “Whatever anyone may tell you, the time has come to spill the truth. Her husband was a fraud. He has left her and is not bothered to even come forward for a while. She married without informing us. I am aghast that post-marriage she has been living in a very small place in Oshiwara. She was living in a big house at Mira road earlier. She has undergone a lot in the recent past.”

Now sharing his side of the story, Gagan in his video message said, “False news about me is being circulated in the media. The truth is I was out of town for my work. Divya’s friend ensured that she was admitted to the hospital. She couldn’t contact me as my number was not reachable. COVID-19 is not caused by mental pressure or stress. It doesn’t matter what Divya’s mother thinks. I want to ask where were her family members in the last six years? Her mother was against our marriage for a long time. We were in a live-in relationship for five years and then we got married in December 2019. We are a happy couple.”

Further requesting his mother-in-law to stop spreading lies Gagan added, “Her (Divya’s) brother and mother have entered my house and they are not allowing me to meet Divya. However, I am in regular touch with my wife, I will request her mother to not spread lies about our relationship. At the moment, her health is more important. She is in serious condition. We both have supported each other. Please don’t spread rumours until she gets discharged from the hospital. I request everyone to pray for her speedy recovery.”

Divya has featured in shows like ‘Udaan’, ‘Jeet Gayi Toh Piyaa Morre’, ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and ‘Vish’. She is currently seen in Sony SAB’s ‘Tera Yaar Hoon Main’. We wonder what she has to say about this feud between her family and husband. We hope she will clear the air soon.
