Diya Aur Baati Hum actor Amit Dolawat blessed with a baby boy

Diya Aur Baati Hum actor Amit Dolawat was blessed with a baby boy today. The new year couldn’t get better for Amit and his wife Cheshta Sharma as they welcomed a new member into their family. The couple had tied the knot in February 2017 and they welcomed their first child today. Amit also revealed that he has named his son Nibhiv. Isn’t it just adorable?

In an interview with Times of India, Amit said that he is overwhelmed on becoming a father. Being the doting husband, Amit said he cracked jokes to divert his wife’s attention. Amit also revealed that under pressure he mistook that it was a girl. The actor even congratulated his wife on having a girl when the doctor corrected him.” I was in the OT with my wife during the delivery. I was told by the doctors to divert her attention from the pain she was going through. I cracked jokes and managed to make her smile,” shared the actor.

He further added, “In fact, I was so engrossed in the process that when the doctor shouted, ‘It’s a boy’, I mistook it for a girl. I congratulated and hugged my wife saying that it’s a girl. The doctor corrected me and I burst out laughing. I told them, ‘Okay, it’s a boy. It’s great news. We will come back for a girl soon’ (laughs!). Cheshta is also extremely happy.”

Talking about naming their son Nibhiv, Amit said it is one of the many names of Lord Ganesha.
