EXCLUSIVE: Arranged actor Rithvik Dhanjani talks about arranged marriage, child adoption & Cartel 2

Actor Rithvik Dhanjani is a powerhouse of talent. Over the years, he has managed to carve his niche and win the hearts of millions with his stellar performances. Be it his acting performances in shows, hosting shows, or films, Dhanjani has proved his mettle as an actor. He is a thorough professional and enjoys treating his audience with some great content. For now, Rithvik is receiving praise for his most recent performance in the Amazon Mini movie titled Arranged. The actor plays the role of Tarun, in a show which revolves around two individuals who meet prospective partners through an arranged marriage setup.

We at Bollywood Bubble got in touch with actor Rithvik Dhanjani to know about his recently released project Arranged, his thoughts on the concept, and more.

Arranged has recently been released. What are your thoughts about the show?

When you watch the film, it is absolutely, it’s one of the simplest stories, with one of the most amazing and simple messages that need to be conveyed in times like today. And, for a lot of people to know that it is happening and this is important to sort of focus on these things as well. And for me, it’s a simple tell-tale story of my writer. It’s her heart and she has literally put it on paper, for the world to see how simple these things can be. I am in the same boat where I have to communicate things with the audience.”

Marriage is a delicate and yet a beautiful topic. Anything you want to share about the plot of Arranged?

The thing that we want to communicate is more about the people. It’s more about the communication between two people. It’s more about how important it is to be who you truly are and communicate only that. From the beginning, for any relationship to work, whether it’s love marriages or arrange marriages or anything of sorts, you need to be able to communicate respectably and truly, how you are. And that’s the message we want to communicate.

Many marriages these days fall apart or couples are getting a divorce. Amidst all that, what do you think about the marraige?

No kind of marriage is safe or no kind of marriage is unsafe. What is safe and unsafe is how you look at it. What is safe and unsafe is how you deal with things. If it is bothering you then it is important for you to deal with it because the only way to make something last long, is brutal honesty. And we’re all afraid of honesty. And, we can’t face ourselves in the mirror for I don t know what reason, but, we’re scared. And that’s exactly what this film aims to do. It tells the tale of being simple and being real and being honest; with your partner and with yourself more than anything else.

Arranged also focuses on the topic of child adoption. What are your thoughts on child adoption?

I think it’s the need of the hour. I think it’s something everyone needs to consider doing. It’s less accepted, there are a lot of kids who don’t have a home and it’s important for us to give them a home. And so, I think it’s important that we start this topic and I think it’s important we start this discussion for people to get into that.

When it comes to child adoption, many families are not supportive of this step. What according to you should be done then?

Families are not supportive, because they are coming from a conditioning of their own. So, it’s your job to break the conditioning of your parents and loved ones. And you have to tell them, what and what is so important. And, if you’re not able to do it, you’re not able to communicate with your parents. Then, you can’t communicate with anyone else.

After playing the role of Tarun, which is something different and unique, is there any particular role you would like to portray?

There is a huge list. But, no one particular role. I want to be as versatile as possible. Anything that excites me and there’s a spark in my heart, I’d love to do it.

Lastly, any updates you want to share with your fans about the web series Cartel.
