EXCLUSIVE: Divya Agarwal is still grieving her father’s demise; says, ‘He has seen me happy with Varun’

Divya Agarwal was rumoured to be entering the Bigg Boss house for many years now. This year, however, she has finally entered as a contestant in Bigg Boss OTT. Last year, amidst the pandemic, Divya lost her father. In a candid and exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Divya opened up about how she coped with her father’s death. The model-actress also said that she is doing the show just for his father. 

Revealing why it took her such a long time to participate in a show like Bigg Boss, Divya said, “Bigg Boss is a personality show. And the things I have faced in my life before this show, I lost my father in the pandemic. That was the biggest fear of my life. And when I was able to face that fear then I felt that its time to show the world that even after facing your biggest fear, your life can be beautiful. And I want to make my father proud. And the entire world should know how strong his daughter is. So I am doing this just for him.”

Amidst the pandemic when everything was so How did she cope up with her father’s demise? “It was very difficult. The way he brought me up, he never let my weak side surface. He literary helped me overcome my weaknesses. My only weakness is my family, the people I love. He didn’t like me crying at all. He wanted me to be an IPS officer because since childhood I was full of confidence. But he was quite happy. He has seen me being happy with my guy (Varun Sood) and enjoying the little bit of popularity that has come my way so far. I have a lot of responsibilities and without him, I was clueless about the bills and the taxes. It was very hurtful. But he has taught us everything to me and my sibling. So mom and we were able to handle things. My mum and my sibling are emotional and I have financial responsibilities as I am the eldest. So yeah, I am handling my responsibilities now,” revealed the actress-model.
