EXCLUSIVE: Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya reveal their cute proposal story; Actress says ‘My father cried’

Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya are touted as the ‘power couple’ of the tinsel town and rightly so. The two met on the sets of YHM as co-stars and then became friends. Later, love blossomed between the two, and they decided to take their relationship a notch higher. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble for our special segment ‘Chemistry 101,’ Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya took down the memory lane to share their proposal story.

Like many other proposal stories, Vivek Dahiya took charge and proposed Divyanka in front of her parents, when the first time they met. Yes! Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya have one of the most unique and heartwarming proposal stories. “I remember very clearly because it was her birthday, and I wanted to make it very special. By then, I had all the clarity that she is the one. So, I went to Lokhandwala to get a t-shirt printed, which read, ‘You’re the answer to all my questions,’ and on the backside, it had, ‘Will you marry me?’ I couldn’t wear that customized t-shirt as it was smaller than my size, unfortunately, due to the maker’s mistake,” Vivek shared.

“But, it was very cute. It was a very big surprise for me, cause usually, you get hints about the surprises. But, I had absolutely no idea of this. He took the help of my sister when we were in Banglore with my family. So, when I had gone for a stroll with my mother and father, they had already arranged everything. There was a candle-lit path, and he was standing at the end of it. My father cried,” Divyanka Tripathi added.

Vivek chimed in revealing, “She does not cry, she is quite a stone heart that way. Uss dinn bhi, I thought it was such an emotional moment, she would have tears of happiness, but nothing. I had met Divyanka’s family for the first time that day and had decided to propose her that very day. I had taken a ring with me, dinn me family se mil lunga, shaam ko ring pehna dunga.”
