EXCLUSIVE: Divyanka Tripathi, Vivek Dahiya REVEAL secrets of their FIRST meeting & date: Was an arranged setup

Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya are one of the ‘IT’ couples in the entertainment industry today. Lovingly called as DiVek, they’ve redefined the meaning of love and marriage. Today, many look up to them as inspiration and believe they’re the epitome of love and togetherness. Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya were the latest guests of our (Bollywood Bubble) special segment ‘Chemistry 101.’ In a candid chat, Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya spilled secrets about their first meeting, interaction, and date.

The two shared the screen space on Star Plus’ show YHM, where Divyanka played Ishita Bhalla opposite Karan Patel. Vivek joined the show mid-way. Sharing his first meeting with Divyanka Tripathi, Vivek Dahiya jokingly told, “My first mulaqaat was with her (Divyanka) hoarding on the sets. That time I got to know, who is the lead of the show. I felt so dumb, I’m doing the show, but I don’t know who the leads are. I asked someone, ‘Who is this girl?’ Jokes aside, I got to know that she is the lead actress.”

On the other hand, Divyanka Tripathi said, “So, my first encounter was when he entered the show as ACP Abhishek Singh, and he was the new entrant in YHM. I was told by people that a ‘handsome man’ is joining the show.”

Vivek interrupted her and said, “Reveal that you only wanted handsome single men to be on the show.” To this Divyanka Tripathi explained, “Everyone kept asking me until when I am going to stay single. So, I jokingly told them to cast a good guy, and not married men. That was a joke, but they took it seriously, and Vivek entered YHM.”

Revealing details of their first date, Vivek Dahiya said, “It was an arranged setup, one of my actor friends, who was also a colleague of mine on the show (Yeh Hai Mohabattein), he kind of stitched us, he thought we would really gel together. So, that’s what happened, we met at a coffee shop, late at night.”

The couple also revealed that before the ‘arranged setup’, they did not interact with each other on the sets of YHM. “Divyanka was very calm and used to always station herself in her vanity room. Since so much was going around on the sets, she used to be in her room. She was like a fairy, an angel, calm and spreading positivity. Everyone was just fond of her and really respected her. That was the aura she carried on the sets, and I was no different, I thought awe, sweet,” Vivek told us.
