Today we live in a time where an actress’ marital status doesn’t affect her career as such, but that change didn’t use to reflect not quite long ago. When Jennifer got married, things weren’t as easy, so the decision to get married at such a young age and that juncture of her career invited a lot of scrutiny and questions.
While talking about it, the actress admitted that everyone around her was doubtful about her decision. She said, “Everyone was like are you mad? What are you doing? Everyone said that, but at that point, even if God would have told me na that don’t do it, I had been like no, but I want to. That’s the thing, if I have to do something, I want to do something, I will do it and that’s what I wanted to do, and it felt right then. I have some lovely memories of it and that’s what I choose to remember.”

Even though the couple got separated after two years of marriage, Jennifer insists that it was no one’s fault as both her and Karan weren’t ready to enter that phase of life then, and whatever happened, they both are quite happy in their present life. Jennifer has indeed been a perfect representation of an independent and confident woman, and till date she continues to be so.
