EXCLUSIVE: Hina Khan on Shaheer Sheikh, Baarish, drops hint on their next collaboration

Hina Khan has been breaking boundaries and how! From starting off on television 12 years back to experimenting with her looks, doing reality shows, web series, and aiming at films, her journey hasn’t been smooth as butter. However, Hina took every challenge with stride and turned it into an opportunity. In a candid chat with Bollywood Bubble, Hina Khan opens up on her latest feature film Lines which speaks about cross-border love and the plights of people living along the border. Hina also spoke about taking a break from Television for a while and how Baarish and her chemistry with Shaheer Sheikh were received so well. She also decided to drop a hint about her next collaboration with Shaheer.

Speaking about Baarish, Hina Khan exclaimed that she is so excited that the song, also starring Shaheer Sheikh, did so well and has been appreciated immensely. “Yes, record-breaking 3 M reels ever on any song. It is huge. We are so so happy,” Hina said. When asked if there would be a sequel to it, Hina remained tight-lipped but dropped the hint saying, “You will get the good news soon.” She also shared that she has not met Shaheer Sheikh after they returned from Kashmir but she is excited to see him. “I am in touch with Shaheer on and off. He is busy currently with two projects. He usually keeps busy. I don’t get to speak to him a lot but when we speak, we are very cordial. I think the next meeting with him will be fun. It will be fun when I see Shaheer next which is very soon.” Well, well, we are excited as well.

Meanwhile, Shaheer Sheikh and Hina Khan starrer Baarish is close to 300 M on YouTube. In our interview, Hina also shared how going de-glam for the role in Lines made her feel liberated as an artist. Hina also spoke about sharing screen space with Farida Jalal who happens to be playing her grandmother in Lines. Not just that, Hina also revealed if things are finally changing for her as she breaks the glass ceiling all the more.
