Harsh Rajput will be back on the TV screens today (February 7, 2021) after a year of sabbatical. He will be seen playing the role of Rehan, a Vampire, in the spin-off of Naagin 5, titled ‘Kuch Toh Hai’. The fantasy thriller stars Krishna Mukherjee as Piya, who possesses some never-before-seen magical powers. It revolves weaves the love story of Rehan and Piya.
We, at Bollywood Bubble, recently got into a candid chat with Harsh regarding Kuch Toh Hai. Since Kuch Toh Hai is a vampire-based story, comparisons of it to Pyaar Kii Ek Kahanii are natural. The former vampire drama, starring Vivian D’Sena and Sukriti Kandpal, has set a bar in Indian Television. Pyaar Kii Ek Kahanii received loads of love, and to date, viewers seem to miss the show.
So, we asked Harsh if he is worried about the comparisons that the audiences might make between Kuch Toh Hai and Pyaar Kii Ek Kahanii. To which Harsh said, “That show aired a long-long time back. I don’t know if today’s generation is aware of it or not. So, it was way too long ago, when that show was released. Also, Kuch Toh Hai is a new and fresh story, with a new setup, and at the same time, it has some connection to Naagin. It is a totally new and fresh story that is going to come ahead. So, I don’t really think people will come to it with Pyaar Kii Ek Kahanii.”

Kuch Toh Hai, being a spin-off of Naagin 5, already has high expectations from the viewers. We asked Harsh if he fears the success of the show in viewers’ eyes as well as the TRP charts. “Being an actor and artist, I never think about numbers, this is not my job. It does not affect me. I never ever give a thought about it and worry about numbers. Talking about Kuch Toh Hai being a spin-off, it has everything that a weekend show needs – drama, action, romance, thrill, emotion, and more. It is filled with all the ingredients for it to be a good entertainer. So, I’m sure that people are definitely going to like this wholesome package,” asserted Harsh.
Lastly, when questioned if he has drawn inspiration from any vampire based show or movie for the show, Harsh said that he has added his own takda. “No, not really. I’ve sat and thought of what I can put into this character. I’ve been designing it by myself, with my experience and sense of style. I’m experimenting to give out the best,” he said.
Naagin 5 leads Surbhi Chandna and Sharad Malhotra have urged fans to support the spin-off Kuch To Hai and shower love on the new pair. The show premieres tonight, February 7, at 8 pm only on Colors TV. Are you excited about this new supernatural thriller? Let us know in the comment section below.
