EXCLUSIVE: Munisha Khatwani talks about Karan Mehra’s extramarital affair: Nisha had caught him red-handed

Yesterday, we all woke up to the shocking news of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Karan Mehra being arrested by Mumbai police following a complaint filed by his wife Nisha Rawal. The actress has filed a case of domestic violence against Karan. She has also accused him of having an extramarital affair. Now in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Nisha’s close friend Munisha Khatwani has shared details about Karan’s affair. Munisha revealed that Nisha had caught him red-handed. Though the couple was facing issues for the last few years, it was the affair that became a shattering point for Nisha.

Sharing if she ever advised Nisha to walk out of the marriage considering the problems she was facing, Munisha said, “I had asked her many times. But she has been too much in love with Karan and too dedicated to the relationship. And I had to respect that as a friend. She has a child involved. We will have to respect that.”

Revealing how Nisha had caught her husband red-handed, Munisha said, “So what shattered Nisha was the affair. That is where her breakdown point came. We knew about the affair over a month ago. It was out in the media yesterday. But we knew for 4-5 weeks. I got to know after two weeks Nisha got to know. She caught him red-handed. So it’s a very traumatizing position for a wife before the husband to admit that it’s not casual. It is something that he would like to pursue. She caught him through the lovey-dovey text messages. I think he was just in that fear state. t first he denied it then admitted it then again denied it. You the typical situation where you don’t know what to do. This is the first time I am speaking out ever in seven years. And I am only speaking it now with Nisha’s consent.”

We asked Munisha if the other woman in Karan’s life is from the industry, she responded, “I am not in the liberty to reveal her name. But she is not from the industry. She is just like a small-time struggling model or actor. She is not based in Mumbai. She is based in Delhi. That’s all I can reveal at this point.”

Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal first met on the sets of the movie Hastey Hastey in 2008. The couple fell in love and tied the knot in 2012. They welcomed their first child, son Kavish in 2017.
