EXCLUSIVE: Qubool Hai 2.0 duo Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti REVEAL their FIRST impression of each other

Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti returned to the screens as Asad and Zoya with Qubool Hai 2.0. Yes! On March 12, they spread the magic of their romance once again as Qubool Hai 2.0 was released. We, at Bollywood Bubble, got into an exclusive candid chat with Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti to know about the secret to their chemistry, their first impression of each other, and more.

Looking back in time, Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti revealed what they thought about each other when they first saw one another on the sets of Qubool Hai in 2012. About his first impression of Surbhi, Karan said, “I thought in my head that she is a jackass (laughs). Now that I know her, it’s quite true also. She’s a bit of a jackass. I would say that it takes one to know one, so we recognize our tribe (giggles). So, it was like that.”

Surbhi shared, “I did not know that he is already a star. So, I saw him and I was like, he looks good, he smells good, I can manage.” Karan couldn’t control his laughter after Surbhi’s statement. “To start working with somebody, these are the two main things. He was giving me tough looks, now I know, in his head, he would be like ‘Oh My God, she’s just a jackass,” she added. The duo’s bond is quite evident with the comfort level they share.

Ask Surbhi if Karan threw any tantrums on Qubool Hai sets after his popularity as Dr. Armaan Mallik in Dill Mill Gaye. She said, “I asked him if it is his first show. I did not know that he has played Armaan in Dil Mill Gaye and is popular. He looked at me like that, ‘Oh My God, kahan se aayi hai yeh, kaun hai yeh, kya hai?’ But, I didn’t know that he is Dr. Armaan, and I’m so glad that I know him as Asad only. He is Asad for me.”

“But, after that, I got to know as lots of fans used to come on sets with gifts for him. But, to me, he was good, really really good. Yes, I’m thankful that he was like that with me, because I feel any person who is new, should be having a co-actor like him, Surbhi concluded.
