Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti reprised their roles as Asad and Zoya in Qubool Hai 2.0. The web show released a week ago, and fans just can’t stop drooling over the duo. Known to be one of the best onscreen couples, Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti have bowled viewers with their camaraderie in Qubool Hai 2.0. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, Karan Singh Grover and Surbhi Jyoti opened up about their off-screen friendship and the secret of their onscreen chemistry.
Talking about her bond with Karan, Surbhi said, “We’re not friends who meet very often or are in constant touch, it is not like that. But, I don’t think it matters also because if I need him ever, he will answer my calls, I can reach out to him, talk to him. I think that is more of a friendship to me. So yaa, in that sense we’re friends. But, we’re not ‘friends, friends’ ki kya kar raha hai chal milte hai!”
“There’s no moment like that, it just happened. Organically it happens with very few people in life, and instantly you’re friends. She (Surbhi) is very funny, she is very silly also, and she is very wise also at times. So, she is a confusing mix. She always keeps you laughing or guessing or something. It’s a good thing. It is like there was no point at which the friendship started. Now, when I look back at it, I don’t even know that there was a point that we were not friends,” Karan opened up on how they turned friends from co-stars.

Ask Surbhi what makes their onscreen chemistry as Zoya and Asad, the actress has a detailed reply. “Why Asad and Zoya work so much because first and most important, these characters are written very beautifully. These characters are conceived and written so beautifully. Secondly, I think when the actors really like the characters that they’re playing, and they’re portraying that character honestly. Then if Asad and Zoya are in love, we have to show that, and it is bound to happen. Then, of course, we will create chemistry,” she told us.
On the other hand, Karan added, “I have been very sincere with whatever I do and Surbhi is the same way. Also, everything around is always fun. There is no heaviness, it is easy to rise when there’s joy around. With Surbhi, it is like a really nice flow that is happening without much effort. It is beautiful.”
