One of the biggest highlights of the show was when Tejasswi Prakash called Shamita Shetty ‘aunty’ on Bigg Boss 15 show. Many did not take it lightly and slammed the former for the same. That’s not it, even celebs called out Tejasswi for age shaming Shamita on national television. Now, in an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rajiv Adatia spoke at length on Tejasswi’s ‘aunty remark’ and mentioned that the way she said it was wrong and it pinched him.
Rajiv told us, “When I was outside the show, jo meine dekha tha, I felt there was some (insecurity), in fact, when I went back on the show, I spoke about it and I confronted Teju and said, ‘listen, this is what I have been seeing and why are behaving like this.’ She then said that ‘Rajiv, there’s nothing like that.’ The thing is that I take everything at face value, I confronted her and she told me her reply and I ended the conversation there. I even asked her why not didi, she said ‘Rajiv yaar yaha sab masti mein bolte hai.’ I said ‘okay but I didn’t like it and I told to Rakhi (Sawant) also that don’t call Shamita Kundrra, it doesn’t look nice as Raqesh (Bapat) is outside. I personally don’t have anything with her as I had a good rapport with her but the time when the aunty came, the only thing I didn’t like is that sometimes we say things in an argument which are (hurtful), we don’t even mean it also sometimes or it comes out in a very bad statement. I don’t think she dislikes Shamita, I think the way she said it was wrong, it pinched me. When she came out of the house, I asked her after the party that did you call her aunty, she said, ‘I said it lightly like uncle and aunty. I said ‘I understand and it wasn’t your intention but it came across wrong, even it was a joke.’ I said, ‘there’s no way she looked like an aunty, she looks so young. Outside in the real world, say whatever you want to no one cares but you were on the camera there,” adding that even he was very cautious of what he was speaking when he was on the show.

He even mentioned that Tejasswi then apologised to her on the show after the remark. Rajiv also mentioned that Shamita was hurt by the remark that Tejasswi made on the show.
“I feel bad for Shamita as she was hurt either for her injury or someone calling her aunty or someone saying that you’ve come here because of your sister, it is not nice. I know how much Shamita was in pain as I used to massage her back every day. It was not a joke; she was really in a lot of pain. She even said that ‘tu bach gayi because of your injuries’ and that was not the case, in fact, Shamita had said that even with the injury she wants to do the tasks but the doctors have said that she can’t do certain tasks because of her arms. When people start talking about her injury and age, after all, it gets on to you mentally in the house, I feel bad for Shamita,” Bigg Boss 15 contestant added.
