EXCLUSIVE: Raqesh Bapat on Varun Sood’s comment against him: I’m sure he didn’t mean it

Raqesh Bapat of Bigg Boss OTT won the hearts of many with his calm demeanor and personality. During his stint in the Bigg Boss OTT house, there was one episode that saw some unpleasantness between winner Divya Agarwal and Raqesh. Post that, Divya’s boyfriend, Varun Sood slammed Raqesh on Twitter. He made a tweet, stating that Raqesh, regardless of being the son of a military officer, had confirmed to be a ‘disgrace’. In an exclusive chat with us, Raqesh Bapat reacted to the remark passed by Varun Sood, against him.

The former Bigg Boss OTT contestant revealed he is unaware of the tweet and what happened. Raqesh Bapat said, “I don’t know. I don’t know what happened. I don’t know what it was. If he has said, I think he must have misjudged or must be misquoted. I’m sure he didn’t mean it. Because an Army man’s son would understand another Army man’s son and where we come from. I’m sure there is something behind it. It was conveyed in a wrong way and it was out of context.”

Raqesh added, “So, probably, maybe a wrong thing he must have heard or reacted to something.” He continued, “I don’t know. I have never read that tweet, so I can’t comment on that.”

For the unversed, taking to his Twitter, Varun Sood had tweeted, “Hey this guy Raquesh is a fauji’s son? What a disgrace! This man doesn’t have a mind of his own. Yuck. (sic)” He later deleted the tweet and even made a clarification post. Sood tweeted, “Deleted the previous tweet cause it might have been framed wrong. Growing up in an army environment we were taught to talk to a lady with respect when she approaches you with respect. Threatening a lady is not right. (sic)”

However, after Varun’s tweet, Raqesh’s fans lashed out at the former on Twitter. One user called Sood a ‘slim mentality individual’. Varun then shot back at the user. “Narrow minded? Raqesh slut-shamed moose because she spoke about her body. Wahh (sic),” the Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 fame had said.

During the conversation, Raqesh Bapat also opened up about his bond with Bigg Boss OTT winner Divya Agarwal. He spoke about his house ‘connection’ with Shamita Shetty as well.
