EXCLUSIVE: Had to sell off my first house: Rubina Dilaik reveals she did not have work for two years

Rubina Dilaik of Shakti Astitva Ek Ehsaas Ki fame is one of the most sought actresses of Indian television. The fierce and fearless. beauty made heads turn when she won the title of Bigg Boss 14. But it has not all been easy for Rubina and she revealed it in a candid interview with Bollywood Bubble.

Rubina Dilaik opened up about the judgements that she faced. From being called a basket of apples to being labelled, Rubina revealed the real reason why she does not attend any award shows. She also said that she was penalised for unprofessional behaviour, allegations that she claimed weren’t true. The final straw was when she did not receive work for two years due to it.

Rubina told Bollywood Bubble about an incident in 2011 when she was made to pay a whopping amount of money as a penalty. Narrating the incident, Rubina said, “My payments were due for nine months. I used to call my production house and producers, visit their office and plead them to pay me because I had to pay EMIs for my house.” She said that one day she came to realise that the payments were not being made as she had to pay a certain amount in penalties. I get this ledger sort of thing with uplinks, which you file when the shoot get delayed and you have to pay a penalty.” Rubina went on to narrate how she was made to pay penalties worth Rs 16 lakh.
