Krystle D’Souza, Siddharth Gupta and Akshay Kharodia left fans stunned with their performances in ‘Ek Bewafaa.’ Sameer Khan has given his voice to the beautiful melody, which has tugged millions of hearts already. We, at Bollywood Bubble, recently got into a candid chat with Sameer Khan to talk about the song, the trend of remixes, his dream projects and more. Sameer Khan also opened up on his working experience with Krystle D’Souza, Siddharth Gupta, Akshay Kharodia and the Ek Bewafaa team.
On his work experience with the team, Sameer told, “Amazing, amazing. It was one of the best experiences, I have had. I’m a singer, I’ve not been to shoots much. For me, it was my first big song shoot and everyone in the team was very excited. My family and I also were very excited. When I first went on the sets, I was very nervous and had bouts of doubts. I feared if I would be able to carry myself properly on the sets or not.”
“But, as soon as I reached, Aadil Khan, Krystle and everyone else was very warm, so welcoming and very kind to me. And their support helped me a lot. Siddharth came to me and said, ‘You know, you deserve the song. You have sung it very well.’ It was very kind of him, and everybody else on the team was very supportive of me,” Sameer added.
Ask him if he expected such a humongous response, the singer said, “To be honest, I expected this response, because it is already a blockbuster. The mainline is so important, and the song is all about Ek Bewafaa.”

Sharing his opinions on the trend of remix songs, Sameer told, “When the song came to me first, I was stunned, it does not feel like a remix in any way. Every bit of the song is rearranged, reprogrammed and reproduced. Everything is changed, we’ve only used the power of that one hook line, Ek Bewafaa.”
He added, “It is very important to create original songs. But if someone is creating a song like this, as an audience, I would say I was hooked to it. There are some songs that people have ruined with their remixes. But, when it comes to Ek Bewafaa, people are appreciating it, and liking it. I have read the comments on the song, and everyone just feels this is the way to make remix songs. By God’s grace, the outcome of the song has been superb.”
“For me, I would love to do originals as well as remixes. My next song, Sada Pyaar Kiya, is original. Ek Bewafaa is a big song in my career, and it is a refreshing remix,” he reiterated.
Sameer Khan has sung a couple of Bollywood songs for movies like Romeo Akbar Walter, Laal Rang and Happy Hardy and Heer. When asked which Bollywood actor he would like to sing for, Sameer said that the list is long. “This is such a dreamy question. I have a big wishlist. But my top two would be, Ranbir Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi. I hope someday I get a chance to sing for them,” he revealed.
Lastly, talking about collaborating with a female singer, Sameer said, “There are many, I’m more into old-school music. But, today if you ask me, I would like to sing a duet with Shreya Ghoshal and Asees Kaur.”
