Actor Shamita Shetty becomes the fourth runner-up of Bigg Boss 15 while Tejasswi Prakash becomes the winner of the show. Shamita, a sister of Shilpa Shetty, was also a part of Bigg Boss OTT and was later on seen in BB15. Considering that she comes from a Bollywood background and is a sister of Shilpa, many thought that she is will be getting the royal treatment and that hosts Karan Johar (host of Bigg Boss OTT) and Salman Khan would be favouring her more than other contestants.
Well, in the latest interview with Bollywood Bubble, Shamita talked about people’s judgment on her for being Shilpa Shetty’s sister and knowing Salman and KJo.
Moreover, Shetty was also asked if her surname cost her game, to which Shamita replied, “My surname is my pride, I have gotten into this game because I belonged to the industry. I’m proud to be a part of the industry. There are a lot of people out there who come in with preconceived notions about actors and talk about me. It is unfortunate that they make a judgement about someone without even knowing them, without even trying to get to know them. But there were also some people who came into the house with so-called preconceived notions about me and changed their opinions about me once they got to know me and I’m glad that happened.”

Speaking about the hosts being biased towards her, the Mohabbatein actor mentioned, “To all those people who say Karan and Salman are biased towards me, I also want them to know that Salman has also shouted at me very badly when I was wrong. He has corrected me the same way he has corrected people. Karan also did the same with me. Now, someone else has won, the actor Shamita Shetty has not won, now, will you question colours. Where’s the question of people being biased towards me and I hope this ends here, these judgements that people have, it takes away the hard work that people are putting in. I have put my heart and soul into this game, I have nothing left to give, that’s how much I have put into this show. It is very simple and very easy for people to sit in the house and switch on the TV and watch the show for one hour and make this comment but they don’t know what the person is going through. I was not treated as a so-called Bollywood actress in the house. I ate the same food, yes, mine was gluten-free because I have a medical issue and have a certificate, I still lost 6 kilos because there was a ration, I washed utensils, I still kept the house clean. I did exactly what other people were doing. So where is this so-called different treatment was given to me? Let’s focus on the actual reality. I don’t understand why is it so easy for people to make these assumptions, it is not right!”
