Shweta Tiwari surprised and stunned everyone around with her magical transformation that happened a few months ago. From gaining post-baby weight to losing all those extra kilos and flaunting those abs, Shweta’s transformation journey is nothing short of incredible and inspirational. Not just her body, Shweta has also worked tirelessly on her looks and her fashion sense, thanks to her stylists Victor Robinson and Sohail Mughal who presented her in a completely new avatar.
And then the photoshoot with Anit Khanna went viral on the Internet and Shweta has a lot of people to credit her transformation to, including her own daughter Palak who apparently pushed her to take up the challenge. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Bubble, the Kasautii Zindagii Kay actress spoke about her impressive transformation.
Revealing what went behind her weight loss journey, Shweta said, “After my second delivery, I had put on a lot of weight. I was 73 at that point in time and when I got Hum Tum and Them, they wanted me to lose weight as they needed me to fit in a particular size. So I started working hard to fit in that size. During that time I realised that I have shoulder pain. I had never lifted weights in my life so I didn’t have any muscle strength. So my shoulders started paining at that time. By the time Mere Dad Ki Dulhan came, my pain escalated and converted into a frozen shoulder. There were times while shooting or while taking care of my child the pain would affect me severely. I started using an arm cast while shooting. Then I started physiotherapy and it was then when I was told that I have no muscle strength so how would I handle it? They told me to start training, go for pilates and weight workout to heal my shoulder. So I started weight training and that’s when I started liking it. I started feeling strong. Then my daughter said, ‘Dude this is your business, this is your career. You are not over yet. Hire a good trainer. Go get a good trainer. Pay money baby and get yourself fit.’ Then I said, ‘Yeah you are right.’ Palak also said, ‘Don’t go to a trainer, they want you to keep training all their life. They will not make your body, go to a transformer who can transform you in like few months’. That’s when I got hold of Prasad. I said, ‘I will pay you, dude. You just get me fit.'”

The bubbly actress went on to add, “So when my body started changing in a better way, that’s when Victor Robinson and Sohail Mughal( her stylists) said try this dress, I said, ‘Are you mad? I have never worn this.’ And they were like, ‘Isiliye toh pehno toh, you never had this body. They forced me to do that. And then photographer Anit Khanna joined them and said, ‘Listen you wear this, I am going to click a picture.’ I told him, ‘Dude I will look very cheap’. Then he said, ‘Trust me. If you will look cheap then I won’t give you the picture.’ So I was like, ‘Okay fine let’s start.’ So we went, we clicked pictures and then Sohail sent me the first pictures and I was amazed at how different I looked. He asked me to put it on Instagram, I told him, ‘Yeh kya dalu, meri puri khandan mujhe phone karegi’. They told me, ‘Go set that Instagram on fire. Just post it’. And when I posted that picture, pura game change ho gaya (laughs). Now they bring all kind of dresses. When they bring decent dresses I am happy but when they bring short dresses, I am like ‘Dekho kaneez ki aarzooyein badhti jaa rahi hain. This is not right (laughs again).”
Shweta is currently shooting for Khatron Ke Khiladi 11 in Cape Town.
