EXCLUSIVE: Shweta Tiwari opens up on Breastfeeding in public: Nothing to be ashamed of, not taking drugs

Popular television actress Shweta Tiwari is truly the epitome of dignity and grace. The actress who gained a massive fan following post her serial Kasautii Zindagii Kay is known to speak her mind on many things. The doting mother of two has recently opened up on the topic of breastfeeding in public.

The topic of breastfeeding in public is a taboo topic that people usually refrain from talking about. But the fierce and protective mother of two pointed out society’s double standards regarding it. She also revealed that she faced trouble finding designated areas in public places to feed her child. So she admitted that feeding your child in public is nothing to be ashamed of.

In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble’s Bhavna Agarwal, Shweta Tiwari said, “I like breastfeeding. As a mother, I enjoy doing that. I was breastfeeding my son when he was three-and-a-half years old during Covid times. It’s such a taboo, airports don’t have breastfeeding areas. They have smoking areas, though. Ladies’ washrooms have a diaper changing area, but you won’t find them in men’s washrooms. Do only women travel with children?”

She further added that she doesn’t care about such things, and is happy to feed even in restaurants. “I don’t know if it made anyone else uncomfortable. I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m not snorting drugs. I am feeding my hungry child. I have to do it. If someone is getting uncomfortable, I’m sorry, get up and go.”
