EXCLUSIVE: Surbhi Chandna on people’s perception about the industry: It needs to be changed

Surbhi Chandna is currently among the few highest-paid actresses in the television entertainment industry. The actress has garnered immense fame for herself and won hearts with her performances. She has carved her niche in the entertainment industry, with her talent and hard work. We recently sat down with Surbhi for a candid conversation.

In an exclusive interview with us, Surbhi Chandna opened up about the negative perception of people about the entertainment industry. She spoke about working in a safe environment. The actress also mentioned the reaction of her family, when she decided to pursue a career in acting.

Surbhi told Bollywood Bubble, “Logon ke zehen mein jo industry ko leke cheezein hai na woh change karna bohot zaroori hai (It is very important to change the perspective people have about the industry). I have been always in a very safe environment. I have worked with two female producers big ones. And, I have worked with now two male producers and I feel extremely in a very safe environment.”

The actress added, “And, woh kyuki logon ko na jo chote chote interiors mein hai na unko phir bhi abhi bhi jhijhak hai pata nahi kya hota hoga kya hota hoga. Arey kuch nahi hota. Insaan jaata hai, barah ghante kaam karta hai, aur jita kaam karta hai, uske baad jo pyaar milta hai it is it is. (And, there is a hesitation with people who live in small interiors that maybe there is something that happens. But, there is nothing that happens. A person goes, works for 12 hours, and as much as the person works, they receive immense love for their work from the audience).”

Chandna further went on and spoke about the discussions she’s had in her extended family. Talking about the same, Surbhi said, “I’ve had some cousins and my extended family who wasn’t very pleased with the idea of me being an actor. But, I’ll tell you what everybody warms up to it eventually, especially after you get success. After they see ‘oh aap unki maasi hai’ ya whatever, achanak se then they feel haan so it happens.”
