Actor Abhishek Kumar, who gained fame as Amrik Singh Virk in Udaariyaan and Aditya Raichand in Bekaboo, is all set to show his daredevil side in Khatron Ke Khiladi 14. Ahead of the contestants leaving for Romania to shoot the Rohit Shetty-hosted reality show, the actor interacted with Bollywood Bubble and got candid about many things – including his fears and determination to overcome them.
During the exclusive chat, Abhishek Kumar also spoke about Munawar Faruqui and Ankit Gupta and why both these friends of his aren’t part of the show this time.
Abhishek on biggest fears in real life & career
When asked which is the biggest ‘khatra’ he’s taken in life, Abhishek Kumar said flying. Elaborating further, the ‘Udaariyaan’ actor said, “Jab mein first-time flight mein gaya woh ek phobia tha mereko… Aur flight mein main soch bhi nahi sakta tha – flight mein 2.5 hours band hu… I know how I travelled and overcame that fear.” (The first time I flew was the biggest risk I ever took. For 2.5 hours I was in the plane and feeling claustrophobic.)
Talking about the biggest ‘khatra’ in his career, the KKK 14 contestant says, “Ek phase aaya tha – woh khatra hi tha mera, I wasn’t able to manage myself for quite some time. It felt like time was slipping away and I wasn’t doing anything. Thankfully, it passed now.”
Abhishek Kumar on Munawar Faruqui
On being asked which Bigg Boss 17 co-contestant he would like to take to KKK given that Samarth Jurel backed out recently, Abhishek says, “Munawar Faruqui. I think he has a shoulder injury or there is some visa issue, else he would also have joined the show. it would have been more fun. I like him a lot, I like talking to him … he also video calls me and chats” He added, “Nahi toh Ankit bhai. He was also going to do KKK but he landed a show.”
