EXCLUSIVE: Mohsin Khan FINALLY breaks silence on his exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai

Actor Mohsin Khan became a household name after his stint on the television show, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. He played the character of Kartik Goenka, the male lead on the show. Over the years, Khan received immense love and affection from his fans and followers. The actor even garnered a massive fan base.

The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor sat down with us for a candid conversation, during the promotions of his music video, Kuch Toh Zaroor Hai, with Nidhi Shah. In an exclusive chat with us, Mohsin Khan was asked about his exit from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and leaving the character of Kartik Goenka. The actor answered and said he would speak about it another time.

Mohsin told Bollywood Bubble, “I will talk about it. I needed, abhi break bhi lena tha. I am also writing. I’ve started as a writer, as an assistant director. Editing mein bhi assist karta tha mein. Toh shuruwat peeche se hui hai. Toh kahin na kahin, I wanted to go back to that thing as well. (I will talk about it. I needed, I have to take a break too. I am also writing. I’ve started as a writer, as an assistant director. Even in Editing, I used to assist. So, my journey has begun from behind the camera. So somewhere, I wanted to go back to that thing as well.)”

He added, “Woh jab bhi complete hoga (When that would complete), I’ll talk about that as well. I will talk about this whole thing.”

Talking about Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai further, Khan said, “Jo humara show hai, uska reach hi bohot bada tha. Because, show’s ke jo reach hai, woh itne logon tak pohochte hai. (Our show had a big reach. Because, of the show’s immense reach, it reaches a massive number of audience).“

Mohsin continued, “Aur woh log roz dekhte hai. Aur kitne baad repeat dekhte hai. Mujhe kitne baar, woh kehte hai ke, nahi humne do teen baar dekhe the woh shows. Teen baar dekhte the woh shows kyunki teen baar chalte the. (And those people, they watch the show everyday. And, they also watch the repeat telecast of the show. On several occasions, I’ve been told that people watch the show atleast two-three times in a day. They watched the show three times because it was telecasted three times in a day).”

Meanwhile, the actor made his acting debut with the show Nisha Aur Uske Cousins. Eventually, he rose to fame after playing the character of Kartik Goenka in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, opposite Shivangi Joshi. Mohsin worked on YRKKH from 2016 to 2021.

On the work front, Khan was seen in the music video, Kuch Toh Zaroor Hai, opposite Nidhi Shah.
