Singer Neha Kakkar more often lands into controversies be it for crying too much on the reality shows or some other reasons. Recently, she received flak from music lovers who expressed their disappointment for rendition of Falguni Pathak’s iconic song Maine Payal Hai Chhankai. Neha’s song features Priyank Sharma and Dhanashree Verma. Fans of Falguni has mercilessly slammed Neha for ruining this cult song. Recently, Pathak also took to her Instagram stories and shared fans’ reactions as she indirectly took a subtle dig at Neha.
In a recent interview, Falguni Pathak who is also known as the Dandiya Queen opened up about the recreation of her song. She told Pinkvilla that she feels overwhelmed and touched on receiving so much love from all over for her iconic song.
Fans expressed their love for the old one and bashing the new song, one wrote, “Sorry to our childhood memories that’s being ruined with this cringe.” Another user commented, “Band karo ye paap.” Falguni shared most of the screenshots of the trolls on social media.
The portal also asked the 53-year-old singer if she is planning on taking the legal route. To which, the Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi singer said, “I wish I could but the rights are not with me.”

On September 23, during the launch of her new song, the hit pop singer said that she hasn’t watched the remixed version yet. She also said that the original Maine Payal Hai Chhankai had ‘simplicity,’ for which the fans may be missing it.
