Ravindra Mahajani, father of actor Gashmeer Mahajani was found dead in his apartment. Reportedly, he died three days ago.

Gashmeer Mahajani’s father, veteran Marathi actor Ravindra Mahajani is no more. The veteran actor was found dead on Friday in his rented flat in Ambi village, Maval Taluka, near Talegaon Dabhade. He was 77. If reports are to be believed, he was living alone in the apartment for eight months. Neighbours who detected a foul odour coming from his flat immediately contacted the Talegoan MIDC police station at around 4.30 p.m. The police arrived shortly after and his body was sent to Talegaon Dabhade hospital for autopsy. The police is looking into the matter.

ETimes quoted senior inspector Ranjit Sawant of Talegaon MIDC police saying, “Ravindra Mahajani may have died three days ago. He was staying alone for the last eight months.”

Senior inspector Shivaji Gaware of Pimpri Chinchwad police station added, “Our team broke the door and found Mahajani dead inside the flat. The body was sent to Talegaon Dabhade hospital for autopsy.”

He had also featured in films like Duniya Kari Salam, Mumbai cha Fauzdar, Zoonj, Kalat Nakalat, Aaram Haram Ahe, Laxmi Chi Pavale, and Kay Rao Tumhi. He was also a part of Arjun Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer Panipat. The veteran actor played the role of Malhar Rao Holkar in the same.

On the other hand, Gashmeer Mahajani is a popular actor. He is currently seen in the TV show ‘Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal’ with Karan Kundrra and Reem Shaikh.
