Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin lead Neil Bhatt tests COVID positive; Makers put special Holi track on hold

Neil Bhatt, who plays the lead role in Star Plus’ much-loved show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has tested positive for COVID. Yes, the actor was diagnosed with the novel Coronavirus on Thursday. A report in the Times of India reveals the same. The producer of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, Rajesh Ram Singh, confirmed the same to TOI. He told that yes the news of Neil Bhatt testing COVI positive is true.

He further added that Neil had mild symptoms of COVID yesterday while they were shooting for the special Holi sequence. But, when Neil Bhatt informed the team of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin about his health, the shooting came to a standstill. Neil got himself tested for COVID on Wednesday, and the reports came today, revealing that he has the disease.

The actor informed the makers about being COVID positive in the afternoon. The producer shared that they have a bank of episodes, but they are not enough to manage in Neil’s absence. “While we will resume the shoot soon after all the actors are tested, we are working on a parallel track for the show. The Holi sequence has been put on hold at the moment,” said Rajesh Ram Sharma.

In his official statement to press, Rajesh Ram Sharma, said, “Neil Bhatt who is an integral part of the TV show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has tested positive for COVID-19. As soon as the symptoms were detected, he received medical help and has quarantined himself. Immediately thereupon the entire cast & crew were isolated and tested. The BMC is informed and the sets will be fumigated and sterilized as per the protocol. Currently, the artist is receiving medical attention and under home quarantine. We are constantly in touch with the entire team as their health is our priority. We stand by our commitment to safety and will continue to ensure that all measures prescribed by the authorities are being adhered to.”

Though Neil Bhatt has not opened up about testing positive for COVID on social media, he sent his wishes to fans on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri 2021. Neil is not quite active on social media, but often shares pictures with his ladylove Aishwarya Sharma. The two fell in love on the sets of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin.

Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is fairing quite well in the TRP charts. It took the second spot in the latest TRP report (Week 9) leaving Imile behind. Neil plays ACP Virat Chavan in GHKPM. The show stars two female leads, Ayesha Singh as Sai and Aishwarya Sharma as Patralekha.
