Raqesh Bapat is getting a lot of praise for taking a fair position on the ongoing Bigg Boss OTT. The actor, who was paired with another contestant Shamita Shetty, has established himself on the show. Raqesh, a sculptor and artist, is spending his 43rd birthday inside the home this year. Raqesh Bapat has appeared in films such as Dil Vil Pyar Vyar and Heroine. For his television career, he worked in shows such as Saat Phere, Seven, Maryada, Qubool Hai, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, and Tu Aashiqui. His most beloved production, though, is his debut picture Tum Bin, which was completed 20 years in July of this year.

Raqesh Bapat was formerly known as Rakesh Vashisht. According to reports, he changed his name for numerological reasons. He began his career in 2001 with a prominent role as Amar Shah in the Bollywood film Tum Bin. Following this, he appeared in a number of more films, including Kuch Dil Ne Kaha, Dil Vil Pyar Vyar, Koi Mere Dil Mein Hai, and others.

At the age of 21, the actor’s charming and attractive appearance made him a star and win the ‘Mr. Pune’ contest and become first runner-up in the ‘Grasim Mr India’ event. Following this, he represented India in the ‘Mr. International’ event held in Germany, where he won first runner-up.

It may surprise you to learn that the actor enjoys painting and sculpting and even received a National Award for his painting when he was in class 9. Few people are aware of his ability, is carving and producing sculptures. Every year on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, he creates an eco-friendly Ganesha idol. Raqesh, who is in the Bigg Boss OTT house this year, has created a Lord Ganesha design with a fork.

The actor won the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for his outstanding performance in his first series Saat Phere. Along with actor and filmmaker Alok Rajwade, he served on a panel for the Hindustan Times Scholarship programme in Pune. Apart from that, he has worked with Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film Heroine and Deepika Padukone in the Fiama commercial. He has also been featured in a Lux advertisement.
