Happy Birthday Sriti Jha: When the Kumkum Bhagya star recited a moving poem on ‘asexuality’ and went VIRAL

Sriti Jha is one of the most loved and adored actresses in the Indian Television industry. As Pragya from Kumkum Bhagya, Sriti has captured many hearts. Her acting skills are unmatchable, but her innate talent has also caught everyone’s attention. While a TV viewer would not really have thought about it, but their Pragya aka Sriti Jha loves writing and reciting poems. Yes, Sriti might have played coy roles onscreen but in real life, she is far from it.

At the beginning of 2021, Sriti made headlines as one of her videos from 2020 went suddenly viral. Yes, Sriti’s video spread like fire on the internet. Are you wondering why so? Well, in the video, Sriti is seen narrating the struggles of being an asexual romantic. Yes! the onscreen shy Pragya opened up about asexuality in reality and took social media by storm. The video titled, Confessions of a Romantic Asexual, sees Sriti Jha taking people through the mindset and challenges of an asexually romantic individual.

In the moving and emotional poem, Sriti Jha opens up all the pressures she has to face from society as she is an asexual. “You can feel all the butterflies and your heart skip a beat for someone and yet not want to do it. Does that make your love any less? Does that make you incomplete?, asks Sriti as she vents out her pain.

In her heart-touching poem, Sriti also shared how she learned to ‘lie in words and moans’ when the entire world was discussing the Me Too movement. Sriti’s poem received a lot of applause from the audience, and they hailed her for her bravery. In the five-minute-long video, Sriti expresses her inner feelings and tugs the right strings of the heart.
