Hina Khan pens an emotional note as she undergoes her first chemotherapy, says, “I refuse to bow down”

Television actress Hina Khan recently revealed on Instagram that she went straight to the hospital for her first chemotherapy session right after attending an award show. Emphasising the importance of her work commitments, she shared that she made a conscious choice to normalise the struggles and challenges life presents. Hina had been diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer.

In a video, Hina is seen participating in a photoshoot and attending the award show with confidence. She was later seen walking through a hospital corridor. She narrated, “The award function is over. All the glam is gone. Now, I am at the hospital for my first chemo. Let’s get better.”

In her caption, Hina explained that she was aware of her cancer diagnosis on the night of the award show. She wrote, “This award night, I knew about my cancer diagnosis, but I made a conscious choice to normalise it – not just for myself, but for all of us. This was the day that changed everything; it marked the beginning of one of the most challenging phases of my life.”

Hina shared some affirmations and spoke about manifesting the outcome she desires. She mentioned, “This award that I received right before my first chemo was not my motivation alone. In fact, I attended this event to reassure myself that I am living up to the benchmark I have set for myself. MIND OVER MATTER.”

Since her diagnosis, Hina has been approaching her condition with a positive mindset. She announced her cancer diagnosis on June 28 in a post on Instagram. Khan also provided a health update, saying she is doing well and undergoing treatment.
