‘Indian Idol 11’: Sunny Hindustani takes home the winner’s trophy of the singing reality show

‘Indian Idol 11’ finally got its winner on February 23. Sunny Hindustani bagged the ‘Indian Idol 11’ trophy along with a cash price of Rs 25 lakh and Tata Altroz car. He also got an opportunity of singing in the next project of T-series. There were four finalists Ankona Mukherjee, Adriz Ghosh, Ridham Kalyan and Rohit Raut along with Sunny. Sunny sang a medley of songs like ‘Bhar Do Jholi Meri’, and ‘Halka Halka Suroor’. Ayushmann Khurrana and Neena Gupta were also present as guests and they heaped praise on Sunny’s performance.

Ankona Mukherjee was the second runner-up and she received a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh. Ridham and Adriz were fourth and fifth and they got Rs 3 lakh each.

Sunny mesmerised everyone right from his entry on the show. At the audition, he sang ‘Afreen Afreen’ and won everyone’s heart. His audition video went viral after Anand Mahindra shared it on social media.

Sunny was very confident of bagging the trophy before the finale. In a conversation with IWMBuzz, he said, “I am sure that I am going to win ‘Indian Idol 11’. But even if I don’t win, I am happy with the love that I am getting from all around. So win or defeat will not affect my state of mind. I have won hearts with my music and that is a big achievement for me. All have their own forte and quality when it comes to singing. And nobody is above or below anyone here.”
