Indian Idol 12: After host Aditya Narayan, contestant Pawandeep Rajan tests COVID positive

The second wave of COVID-19 in India is getting scarier. A few days ago, Indian Idol 12 host Aditya Narayan tested positive for COVID. Now, one of the most popular contestants, Pawandeep Rajan has been diagnosed with the virus. Yes, Indian Idol 12 contestant Pawandeep Rajan has tested COVID positive. The contender is quarantining in a hotel and is under self-isolation.

A report in Indian Express states that Pawandeep Rajan will perform virtually for the upcoming episodes. A source told the portal, “Most contestants are in a kind of bio bubble, given the surge in cases in the state, the risk factor has increased.” The source shared that as soon as Pawandeep Rajan started showing COVID symptoms, he was isolated immediately and tested.

After Pawandeep’s COVID test results came positive, other contestants, judges and crew of Indian Idol 12 also underwent tests. The reports of the team of the singing reality show are expected soon. COVID positive Pawandeep Rajan will perform virtually for some episodes of Indian Idol 12.

The source said that Pawandeep’s reports have caused the team of Indian Idol 12 a little worry. But, none of the other contestants has shown any symptoms of COVID. And they’re hopeful that everyone’s result will come negative. “Pawandeep is doing fine, and is looking forward to being back on the set soon,” the source concluded.

Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya and Vishal Dadlani together judge Indian Idol 12. The show is doing exceedingly well among the viewers. Recently, actors like Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Rupali Ganguly, Sudhanshu Pandey, Seema Pahwa, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Katrina Kaif among others tested COVID positive.
