Rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh and singer-composer Vishal Dadlani have buried the hatchet and hugged each other on the sets of Indian Idol 12. Their bitterness dates back to 2013 when Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express released. It was over the hit song The Lungi Dance.
In the promo shared by Sony TV on their social media handles, we see Vishal saying that he and Honey Singh have a history and everyone knows about it. “It happens, pange hue the. Do sher ko aap ek cage main dalenge, toh takrayenge hi, hain ki nahi? Aab main ek baat bolunga, jo ki sachi baat hain. Ek insaan main jo himmat hain woh tab dikhti hain jab woh insaan toont jata hain. Honey has seen that aur puri duniya ko pata hai”. Vishal said that everyone was talking where Honey is. “The point is not where is Honey, the point is Honey is here and he will stay with us”, said Vishal and continued, “This has to be done on national television”. Saying this both hugged each other. Everyone including the contestants clapped for both.

For the uninitiated, The Lungi Dance song created a rift between the film’s music director Vishal and actor Shah Rukh Khan. Honey Singh was roped in by SRK at the last minute. Vishal had no clue about it and he tweeted, “It’s hilarious and pathetic, how desperately this tacky rape-rapper is trying to ride on the fame of @iamsrk and #ChennaiExpress… (sic)”.
It’s hilarious and pathetic, how desperately this tacky rape-rapper is trying to ride on the fame of @iamsrk and #ChennaiExpress. Poor guy.
