Indian Idol 14 promo: Karisma Kapoor BREAKS DOWN after watching a performance dedicated to late grandfather Raj Kapoor

Karisma Kapoor is set to make an appearance on the popular singing reality show Indian Idol 14. The makers recently treated fans with the promo of the upcoming episode featuring Karisma Kapoor in which she can be seen crying after a performance on her late grandfather and legendary actor Raj Kapoor.

Karisma Kapoor breaks down into tears

In the promo, as contestant Mahima Bhattacharjee sings the iconic song, Jeena Yahan Marna Yahan starring Raj Kapoor from Mera Naam Joker, Karisma Kapoor gets emotional. Mahima is dressed like the legendary Raj Kapoor’s character Raju from the hit movie Mera Naam Joker. Karisma can be seen breaking down into tears as she says, “Yeh gaane ke joh shabh hain is what we are. Joh bhi hum hain aaj is thanks to this great man.”

Raj Kapoor was the son of Prithviraj Kapoor, who was one of the biggest superstars in the industry. Raj Kapoor was the father of Rishi, Randhir, and Rajiv Kapoor. Karisma and Kareena are daughters of Randhir Kapoor, who gave many hits.

Karisma made her acting debut with Prem Qaudi, and later appeared in films like Jigar, Anari, Raja Babu, Saajan Chale Sasural, Dil To Pagal Hai, and Raja Hindustani among others. The actress was last seen in the web series Mentalhood (2020). Karisma will be next seen in Homi Adajania’s Murder Mubarak, co-starring Sara Ali Khan and Vijay Varma. Apart from this, Karisma also has Abhinay Deo’s Brown in the pipeline.
