Television actress and former Bigg Boss contestant, Kamya Panjabi has made her entry into politics. Kamya posed for pictures with the President of the Mumbai Congress political party and announced her entry. Kamya Panjabi has joined the Congress party in Mumbai. Her husband, Shalabh Dang stood by his wife in her support as she took the big step. Shalabh and Kamya were clicked posing for photos with the President of the Mumbai Congress political party. Tehseen Poonawalla also extended warm wishes to Panjabi as she joined the Congress party.
Taking to Twitter, ANI made a tweet, shared a picture, and informed about Kamya’s entry into politics. The tweet mentioned that Kamya Panjabi has joined Congress in the presence of Mumbai Congress president, Bhai Jagtap.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Congress party also took to their official Twitter handle to tweet about the same. They shared pictures and made the announcement about Kamya joining the political party. The party welcomed the actress on Twitter.

According to a report in India.com, Kamya Panjabi told a daily that she wants to serve the country and work on causes she strongly feels for. She revealed she wants to focus on women’s empowerment and help those who suffer domestic violence in the country. The actress added, “I, too, have suffered silently in the past for many years. The desire to join politics stems from a strong cause. I am not hungry for power, I just want to work.”
On the work front, the actress last featured in the show Shakti: Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, which got over last month. She will continue to work as an actor, reportedly, amidst her entry into politics.
