Kamya Panjabi remembers late actress and close friend Pratyusha Banerjee on her birth anniversary

Kamya Panjabi recently took to her Instagram account and shared a montage of pictures of her close friend and late actor Pratyusha Banerjee as it is her birth anniversary. Pratyusha had become a household name with her role as Anandi in the hit TV serial Balika Vadhu. Pratyusha was much loved by her fans for her role. Kamya shared a montage of unseen pictures with Pratyusha and also her pictures as Anandi.

Sharing the video, Kamya wrote, “Happy Birthday #anandi(sic)” In one of the pictures, Kamya was seen kissing Pratyusha on her cheek. Another one was a selfie of the two girls. Apart from that, there were also pictures of Pratyusha in her Anandi avatar.

Kamya Panjabi and Pratyusha Banerjee were seen together in Bigg Boss 7 in 2013. They developed a very good friendship in the house that stayed on outside as well. Pratyusha passed away in 2016 and her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh was later accused by her parents of abetment to suicide.

Kamya had made headlines earlier when she stood up for her Pratyusha when Vikas Gupta claimed he had dated the late actress, Kamya had said in an interview with a leading daily, “Let’s respect those who are not with us and not talk about anyone’s personal life. Pratyusha isn’t there to tell the world whether it’s true or incorrect. She isn’t there to verify these claims. Why is Vikas talking about his past with her now? Fame chahiye ki kya chahiye. I don’t appreciate it at all. I didn’t read or watch the interview. I don’t want to know ki Pratyusha ke baare mein sach likha hai, jhooth likha hai ya tareef likhi hai.”
