Kapil Sharma reveals how he drunk dialled and proposed to wife Ginni Chatrath, watch video

In Netflix’s stand-up special, I’m Not Done Yet promo, comedian-actor Kapil Sharma opened up about his love story with Ginni Chatrath. In the promo, Kapil revealed how he proposed to Ginni over a phone call after drinking alcohol. Kapil said that he and Ginni were in the same drama troupe and calling her his ‘favourite among all the actresses,’ Kapil revealed that they used to do theatre together.

He added, “I used to assign work a lot of work to her. She used to call me and report what happened and how much they had rehearsed today.” He then revealed about the drunk call to Ginni. “I had Officer’s Choice. I lifted the call and asked her, ‘Do you love me?’ She was shocked. She was wondering how did I summon up the courage. I am thankful that I didn’t have toddy else the question would have been something else,” Kapil jokingly said.

Kapil then asked Ginni who was sitting in the audience, “You are from a good and well-educated family. What made you love a scooter owner?” She gave an epic reply, “Maine socha paise wale se toh sabhi pyaar karte hai. Iss gareeb ka bhala hi kardun.” Everyone burst into laughter including Bharti Singh who was sitting next to her.

Kapil and Ginni got married in 2018. They have a daughter and a son named Anayra and Trishaan.
