Kapil Sharma announces his Netflix debut; says, “Project is close to my heart”

Kapil Sharma’s rise to stardom is an inspiration in itself. The comedian-actor has always managed to tickle our funny bones with his impeccable comic timing and inimitable style. As the new year commences, Kapil teased his fans on social media about an announcement which will surely leave them surprised and happy. This morning, the comedian announced his first-ever collaboration with Netflix wherein he will be seen in a different avatar. While the deets are yet to be known, the news adds to the excitement.

Talking about his Netflix debut, Kapil Sharma in a statement said, “I am super excited for my first-ever association with Netflix. 2020 has been a bumpy ride for everyone around the world and my motive is to make people forget their worries and welcome this new year with love, laughter and positivity. I always wanted to be on Netflix but I didn’t have their number (hahaha). It’s a project close to my heart and I cannot wait to share more details with my fans soon.”

Kapil shared the announcement on his social media and wrote, “This is the auspicious news Don’t believe rumours guys, only, believe me, I’m coming to @netflix_in . Soon! (sic).”

Speaking of Kapil, on the personal front, the comedian recently celebrated the first birthday of his daughter Anayra with his close friends and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ team and wife Ginni Chatrath. He is also gearing up to welcome his second child soon.

On the work front, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ has been doing very well on the TRP charts and Kapil continues to rule hearts like always.
