Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma has reached the Mumbai Crime Branch office for an enquiry regarding fake registered cars seized by the state police. According to a report in DNA, Kapil paid a car designer Dilip Chhabria for his vanity van. However, Chhabria did not complete the work and hence, the comedian had filed a case with the police about the same. Dilip has now been booked for fake registration and Kapil has been called in to record his statement and give information regarding his complaint.
Speaking to media, Kapil said, “I had got a vanity van made for myself and then I read it in papers that the person, Dilip Chhabria, I had reached out to do the vanity work is a fraud. As soon as I got to know that, I registered a complaint with the police and requested them. They assured me they will look into the matter. These white collar crimes have increased a lot. Many people get duped with that person escaping. Hence, I am very happy that the police has arrested them. The case is being enquired by them. (sic)”
