Kapil Sharma SLAMS netizens accusing him of passing ‘racist’ remark on Atlee, says, “Don’t spread hate”

The Kapil Sharma show recently had the cast of Baby John including Atlee, Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh and Wamiqa Gabbi as guests. During the fun banter, Kapil asked Atlee about his appearance and in no time is sparked controversy after a section of social media users criticized the host for questioning about director’s looks. After facing severe backlash on social media, Kapil Sharma has finally reacted to the accusations.

Kapil Sharma clarification on criticizing Atlee

A netizen wrote, “Kapil Sharma subtly insults Atlee’s looks? Atlee responds like a boss: Don’t judge by appearance, judge by the heart.” Responding strongly, Kapil Sharma wrote, “Dear sir, can you pls explain me where n when I talked about looks in this video ? pls don’t spread hate on social media thank you. What happened at The Kapil Sharma Show?

Recently, the cast of Baby John, including Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and the film’s co-producer, Atlee, appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show. During the show, Kapil spoke about how Atlee has become a big director and producer after the success of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan. “But, when you get to meet a star for the first time, do they ask, where is Atlee?,”

Atlee handled the situation rather well. He replied, “In a way, I understood your question. I’ll try to answer. I’m actually very thankful to AR Murugadoss sir because he produced my first film. He asked for a script, but didn’t see how I’m looking or whether I’m capable of it or not. But, he loved my narration. I think the world should see that. We should not judge by appearance. You have to judge by your heart.”

For those unversed, Baby John is all set for release on 25^th December. The film is a remake of Tamil movie Their which was directed by Atlee.
