Karan Mehra and family get anticipatory bail: I have the proof to prove my innocence

Karan Mehra and wife Nisha Rawal were in the news when the latter filed a case against the Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor and his family. Nisha had accused Karan of domestic violence and also alleged that he withdrew over 1 crore from her account. After getting arrested, he was then granted bail. The case was filed under IPC sections 498-A, 377, 406, 323, 504 & 506 r/w Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

And now, in an interview ith Hindustan Times, Mehra opened up on the same. He said, “It has been a difficult time but thankfully, the court granted a judgement in our favour. Being granted anticipatory bail means that I, my old aged parents and my brother will not be arrested in the alleged false cases filed by Nisha against us. I have the proof to prove my innocence which I will show in court.”

He added, “The laws for such cases are more favourable for women, which is why this took a long time as one doesn’t get anticipatory bail in these matters. We will contest and fight the cases in court and present our truth. We are ready to fight. Kyunki ab tak ek talwar latki thi, ke koi bhi kuch bhi bolega aur arrest ho sakti hai, par ab ek relief hai. It has been a tireless effort by my counsel, Shalini Sheoran. I am happy that the court acted fast in this matter.”

On the other hand, Nisha had revealed that she does not want any alimony from Karan, however, she wishes to get full custody of son Kavish. She made several allegations against Karan including him having an affair. For the unversed, Nisha filed a domestic violence case after revealing that she was hurt after Karan banged her head onto the wall. Karan, on the other hand, had claimed that she did it on her own. He later also filed a complaint of fraud against him and his family.

Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal got married in the year 2012. They welcomed a baby boy in the year 2017. Karan Mehra rose to fame after playing the role of Naitik Singhania in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, one of the most longest-running Indian TV serials.
