Karishma Tanna is all set to tie the knot with Varun Bangera. The wedding will take place on February 5 in Mumbai. Karishma has been very quiet when it comes to details about her wedding with Varun, but reports say that the actress’ wedding will be a mix of Gujarati and South Indian rituals.
Talking about the pre-wedding rituals, a report by ETimes says, they will start a day before the D-Day. On February 4, the Mehendi and sangeet ceremonies will kickstart, followed by the Haldi and wedding on February 5. But, the report also says that Karishma has been all in when it comes to planning the rituals and is curating a South Indian look for a post-wedding function. Karishma wants to integrate south Indian looks and rituals as Varun hails from Mangalore, Karnataka.
A friend of Tanna revealed to the portal, “Karishma has been planning her wedding wardrobe for quite some time. She wants to do something special for her husband-to-be and her in-laws, so she has picked a pink Kanjivaram sari with gold embroidery and has also bought authentic South Indian jewellery to perfect the look. She will be wearing the sari after her bidaai as she enters her new household. The wedding will be a mix of Gujarati and South Indian rituals.”
Talking about the guest list, the source said that Karishma and Varun had cut down majorly given the current Covid situation, “Karishma and Varun had planned a big fat wedding, which obviously isn’t possible in the current scenario. Keeping the COVID protocols in mind, the original list has been reduced to 50. However, that hasn’t dampened the spirit of the bride-to-be. A wedding is a big event and Karishma wants to make the most of her big day.”
