Aashka Goradia rose to fame after playing Kumud in Kkusum and the role of Kallavati in Laagi Tujhse Lagan. She also featured in shows like Maharana Pratap, Naagin, Bigg Boss and Baalveer. However much to her fans surprise, Aashka has announced her retirement from acting. Yes, the actress has bid adieu to acting in order to pursue her other dreams. The Kkusum actress also revealed that business has always been in her blood and so she is taking a break from acting for the time being.
Speaking about her decision to quit acting, Aashka told Bombay Times, “Entrepreneurship was a path I wanted to pursue. Business was always in my blood, and this dream has been with me for quite some time now. Acting happened by chance. I was only 16 when I moved to Mumbai, but while pursuing my acting career, I had this business virus in me, to do something in the world out there and that has finally happened. So, I felt it’s time I tell everyone that acting, for now, is going on a break as I pursue my other dream.”

When asked if this is a temporary or permanent decision, the actress told the daily, “For now, it is a goodbye. Whether this sabbatical is temporary or permanent, time will tell, but I know that I am not taking up anything in acting in the coming future. Entrepreneurship and the shuttling between Ahmedabad and Goa keeps me busy.”

Aashka is married to Brent Goble and she credits him for the change in her outlook and unconditional support. “The patience, the change in outlook that I was talking about… all came with him. It’s like God has given me this gift of a partner, who is not only loving and caring, but also one that tells me to fly with my dreams, someone who supports me in every flight I take and is always by my side, saying ‘I’m proud of you baby!’ I look into his eyes and I know I have a whole world of love, an ocean of trust and a belief that I can, and it’s his belief that keeps me going.” On the work front, Aashka was last seen in Daayan (2019). Her fans will surely miss seeing her onscreen.
