Massive Fire on the sets of Tenali Rama

According to recent reports, a massive fire broke out on the set of Tenali Rama at Film City, Goregoan in Mumbai, causing chaos and halting the shoot. No injuries were reported, and the fire, which erupted due to an electrical issue in the generator outside the set, was brought under control in time.

Confirming the news, BN Tiwari, President of the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), told ETimes, “There was some kind of electric issue in the generator that was outside the set when the fire broke out. A fire brigade was called to douse the fire, but safety precautions on TV and film sets are a cause of concern even now. The Film City authorities and producers are not paying heed to it.” He added, “Fire and safety drills on film and TV sets are definitely needed. God forbid, if a major fire happens, there’s a chance of fatalities on set.”

In the latest season of Tenali Rama, Aditya Redij steps into the role of Maharaja Krishnadevaraya, replacing Manav Gohil. The cast also welcomes Sumit Kaul as Girgit Raj and Amit Pachori as Mahamantri Timmarasu.
