Actor Shardul aka Kunal Pandit took to his Instagram account to share a heartbreaking post where he wrote how he is struggling to get work in the industry. He revealed that he even succumbed to taking steroids that lead to many health complications and three relapses of jaundice. He wrote, “This is my last shot at trying to reach everyone who probably has work where I fit with my skill sets. I have never forgotten my craft. SO IT IS A HUMBLE REQUEST TO WHOEVER READING, I AM LOOKING FOR WORK.”
The caption of the actor’s post read, “Hi this is as heartfelt as I can be, there might be jokes or discussions but this is my profile and there is nothing wrong in asking for work. So if you are reading this ‘’ I am looking for work, and I shall be grateful if anything can materialise ‘’ I could have succumbed to pressure and ended up as RIP but I was lucky had friends like @ankzbhargava @karan9198 @preetiphalke @vinayakdubey @ruchita02 @4umehra who held me when I could have tripped. Please don’t give up. Go home if everything fails #mentalhealthmatters #hanginthere #staystrong(sic)”

Earlier in an interview with Times of India, Kunal had said that he is returning back to his hometown as he has no work in Mumbai, “I have been unwell for almost a year with three relapses of jaundice. I had to let go of the reality show, Mujhse Shaadi Karoge, because of that. I was offered a web series before the lockdown, but I have no clue what’s happening on that front. I was already facing a financial crunch, and my savings, too, dried up during these three months,” the actor told the daily.

He further added, “I don’t want to leave, but I have no option left. Whether I am working or not, I have to pay the rent and meet other expenses. Even if I bag a project tomorrow, the payment will start rolling only after three months as per the industry norm. The waiting period for a TV artist is back-breaking, as your expenses don’t stop.”
During this lockdown, many celebrities are facing financial crunch as some of them are not receiving their payments at all.
