Actor Arvind Kumar, known for playing the character of Chaurasia from the TV serial Lapataganj passed away due to a heart attack on Tuesday i.e. July 11. While he was heading towards the shoot location, Arvind suffered from an attack. His co-star Rohitashv Gour confirmed the news.
Arvind Kumar bids farewell to the world
Rohitashv Gour, currently seen in Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai told Indian Express, “Yes, he passed away two days back and it’s unfortunate news. After Lapataganj ended, we used to talk on the phone. He died of a heart attack and he was very stressed because of finances.” He further revealed that he never got a chance to meet Arvind’s family as they stay at their native place in a village.
Rohitashv disclosed the financial hardships faced by Arvind. He emphasised their conversations about the struggles actors faced during the pandemic. He also acknowledged the lack of support for actors during such challenging times. Further, Rohitashv mentioned that stress could lead to heart attacks and said that he hadn’t spoken to or met Arvind’s family as they resided in the village. However, he shared that he now had the phone number of the late actor’s wife and along with their friends, they were actively planning to provide financial assistance to Arvind’s wife and children. This initiative was confirmed by Arvind’s wife on social media.

Arvind Kumar played the character of Chaurasia in Lapataganj for 5 successful years. He also showcased his talent in other notable shows such as Crime Patrol and Savdhaan India. He also delivered performances in films like Cheeni Kum, Undertrial, Rama Rama Kya hai Drama, Madam Chief Minister and more.
